Explore SLIVER tm
SLIVER technology revolutionizes the PV industry with ultra-thin, lightweight and bifacial monocrystalline silicon solar cells for residential, commercial and utility uses.

SLIVER technology uses monocrystalline silicon, a proven reliable and high-performance material, like other impressive photovoltaic solar modules. But, unlike other technologies, our SLIVER cells take advantage of our patented, innovative technology to make huge advances in silicon efficiency.

How Are They Made?
SLIVER technology, invented and developed at the Australian National University’s Centre for Sustainable Energy Systems with financial support from Origin Energy, produces ultra-thin, elongated monocrystalline cells that are perfectly bifacial and highly flexible. The SLIVER cell process uses an innovative micromachining technique to slice the wafer into thousands of tiny strips. The slices are fully functional solar cells, which are then separated from the wafer. Learn more about how we make it
